Why Docsy

Everything important, nothing in the way.

Built for reading

Comfortable defaults for long sessions — sensible margins, smooth double-tap zoom, and a viewer that stays out of the way of the page.

Text you can actually select

Real text selection on real PDFs, not an image with a search box bolted on. Copy a paragraph and get a paragraph.

On-device AI, optional

An assistant that can summarise or answer questions about a document — with the model running locally on your phone. You download it deliberately, and your documents never leave the device.

Fast to open

Snappy rendering that gets you to the first page quickly, even on large files.

Docsy is the document reader we kept wishing existed: quick to open, honest about text, and calm to look at for an hour at a time.

The part we’re most interested in is the assistant. Almost every “AI PDF” tool works by uploading your document to a server. Docsy’s runs the model on your phone instead — slower to set up, meaningfully more private, and the only version of the feature we were willing to build.

It is not ready yet. This page will fill in as it becomes real.

There's no public date yet. It's in active development and we'd rather ship it right than ship it soon. Leave your email on the contact page and we'll tell you when there's something to try.
The AI model is designed to process documents on your device. Optional OneDrive backup uploads documents to your Microsoft account, and voice input may use your device's online speech service. Those features are separate from local AI processing; the privacy policy explains each one.
That's not settled yet. Whatever we decide, it will be stated plainly before you install anything.
